Product use: Pneumocandin B0 is the intermediate of caspofungin acetate which has the enormous economic value. Pneumocandin B0 is a new type of natural antifungal drugs produced by the fermentation of mycelial fungus Glarea lozoyensis. Pneumocandin B0 is a kind of cyclic lipopeptides, the structures of which are a cyclic hexapeptide mother nucleus and a fatty acid side chain. This type of drug targets fungi via noncompetitive inhibition of the β-1,3-D-glucan synthase enzyme complex, leading to glucan polymer depletion in the fungal cell wall and resulting in osmotic instability and fungal cell lysis.
